"Helen, Ruth, Sally, Sam and Polly made us feel like Gypsy royalty. Ned was calm and wonderful; a real pleasure to be with. An experience like nothing we’ve ever done before. Relaxing, and taking life as it comes, in a beautiful photogenic environment. A real break from the mad dash of normal life".
Our travelling was guided by our horse groomsman and we felt safe and happy to experience driving - probably wrong words - between destinations. We stayed over two nights - sleeping was a challenge since the bed was a bit small for the two of us but we should have taken the offer of an additional mattress. We stopped off at a number of pubs to take in food a nd plenty of refreshments. Being encouraged to prepare and care for Ned for each stage of the journey - we’ve little horse experience and we learned a lot about looking after him.

The glade where we made breakfast on an open fire was extremely picturesque with all the equipment to get a fire going and cook on hand. The local farm shop was typically expensive but we were able to buy some tasty treats to cook on the fire which made lunch extremely pleasant.

Sam the fiddler played a enthusiastic set of traditional Gypsy songs. They all seemed to be about a beautiful woman taking on the gypsy life style - but my wife still got in the car and came home with me. And we had a sing along with our neighbours. So great fun.

The shower at our second stop was very welcome and as good as any home shower - amazing given we were out in the wilds.

Gas cooker in the van was on hand for cups of tea and coffee in our case and sausage baps for breakfast one morning.

Thanks very much White Horse Gypsy Caravans.
